You’re Next was directed by Adam Wingard and compiled by Simon Barrett, they behind this years Toronto film A Terrible Method to Die. It had been an aggressive situation, using the Weinstein Company and Vital and Indian Paintbrush also circling the offer. This settlement continues to be happening because the film’s first screening September 10 within the Night time Madness program. The offer required some time since it anticipates the chance that it could launch a franchise with future payments, that the filmmakers have strong control in. The theatrical release is going to be wide and many likely exist in fall 2012. In Your Soul’re Next, a household comes within terrifying and sadistic attack throughout a reunion getaway. Carre blanc
A Solair Films production in association with Tarantula. (International sales: Coach 14, Paris.) Produced by Benjamin Mamou, Jean-Baptiste Leonetti. Executive producer, Camille Havard Bourdon. Co-producers, Joseph Rouschop, Xavier Ruiz, Alexander Rodnyansky. Directed, written by Jean-Baptiste Leonetti. With: Sami Bouajila, Julie Gayet, Jean-Pierre Andreani, Carlos Leal, Dominique Paturel, Fejria Deliba, Valerie Bodson, Viviana Aliberti, Majid Hives, Adele Exarchopoulos, Nathalie Becue Prader. (French dialogue)A prominent film website describes the premise of "Carre blanc" thus: "In the future, society's weak are killed and used for meat." This is either one helluva false assumption, or it's symptomatic of writer-director Jean-Baptiste Leonetti's excessively cryptic debut feature, in that such a major conceptual point is barely even suggested onscreen. Bleak, minimalist dystopian sci-fi a la "1984" and "THX-1138," pic epitomizes the carefully thought-out aesthetic package with almost zero interest in narrative and audience engagement. Adventurous genre fans will discover it via disc or download; a few will be rapt, many bored. As children, Philippe (Sami Bouajila) and Marie (Julie Gayet) met when she saved him from committing suicide as his mother had. Two decades later, he's become the perfect managerial tool of an all-pervasive corporation, subjecting subordinates to psychologically and/or physically harmful tests they can't possibly pass, while she laments their childlessness and his obedience to the devouring machine. An initially striking, obtuse objet d'art, "Carre Blanc" soon grows turgid as one realizes the precise, sterile visual and ominous audio tactics are all that is going to "happen."Camera (color, HD), David Nissen; editors, Alex Rodriguez, Eric Jacquemin; music, Evgueni Galperine; production designers, Marie Pierre Durand, Noelle Van Parijs.
