Why can't they make action tv programs as good as they did in the 1980s and 90s?

In the 1980s and 90s we had some awesome Tv shows like the A Team,
Dukes of Hazard, McGyver the Fall Guy, Due South, Baywatch etc.They
were packed with action and adventure but all we seem to get now is
CSI etc. They may be good but they just seem so dry compared to the
classics of the 80s and 90s. Its nice just cillin out and watching
some car chases, pyrotecnics etc without having to have a degree in
law or forensics to understand the program.
Why can't they make good action now? It was such feel good even the
incidental music was so nostalgic.
