'Strawberry Fields' is real to Soda

LONDON -- Soda Pictures has clicked on up U.K. distribution rights to micro-budget "Strawberry Fields," helmed by Frances Jum. Pic, which will world preem within the BFI London Film Festival this month, was produced through Film London's low-budget Microwave Plan which is the sixth pic to secure U.K. distribution using the plan. "Strawberry Fields," toplining Anna Madeley ("In Bruges"), Christine Bottomley ("The Arbor") and Emun Elliott ("Wager on Thrones") can be a twisted tale of sister competition, sexual awakening and mind games set within a hot British summer season. Jum and Judith Manley pen the script while Liam Beatty and Lucie Wenigerova produce. Soda will release the pic in April incorporated in is completely new British Cinema Quarterly platform, an initiative that supports helping produce youthful British filmmakers.
